L’Arche Daybreak
The Ministry of Children, Community & Social Services is the Ontario government agency that provides public funding and oversight to organizations like L’Arche Daybreak that offer residential and community participation services to people with intellectual disabilities.
The Ministry conducts compliance inspections of all Ministry-funded service agencies under the Services and Supports to Promote the Social Inclusion of Persons with Developmental Disabilities Act, 2008 (SIPDDA). The specific standards of care and safety requirements that agencies are required to comply with are set out in Ontario Regulation 299/10 Quality Assurance Measures (QAM) and/or in policy directives.
The letter at the right is to our most recent official confirmation of compliance from the Ministry of Children, Community & Social Services.
