Clarissa graduated from high school two years ago and recently completed the Orientation program at Daybreak where she learned all about Jean Vanier, the history and mission of L’Arche.
She has grown in her capacity to make friends, discovered new forms of creativity like pottery and painting, and found a place to share and expand on her already spectacular artistic talent.
Her gift to us has been her authenticity of heart and incredible artistic vision.
She was delighted too! Her family even wanted to order their own copies to send out to their family. When the printer at Creative Path found out that it was for the artist’s family, they generously printed and donated them – an early Christmas present!
Clarissa notices the finest details in the natural world around her. She has an encyclopedic knowledge of birds, trees and animals and is already planning out her family’s garden next Spring.
Her gifts for honesty and transparency shine through her artwork, which amaze many of the visitors to the Craft Studio – she draws it, and tells it like she sees it!
At L’Arche our mission is to “celebrate the unique value of every person and recognize our need of one another.”
During this holiday season we want to say thank you to all our friends and supporters and each person who makes up our community – we do need each other!
