Today we have grown to include eight homes in Richmond Hill. Our homes have become established in the local neighbourhoods of Richmond Hill where shopping, dining out, entertainment and recreational activities happen.

Many members of L’Arche Daybreak are connected to local churches that community members attend. Prayer is also an important part of each day. At the end of the day, the shared evening meal gives members the opportunity to come together and give thanks for the gifts of those around them. The evening meal, birthdays and times of prayer are small but cherished celebrations that strengthen the bond between the six to eight people sharing each home. 

L’Arche Daybreak is a dynamic example of how people of different intellectual capacity, social origin and culture can live and learn together. We are blessed today with such a vibrant and diverse community.
